This forum, hosted by the Physicians for a National Health Program (PNHP) – NY Metro Chapter, addresses the increasing role and implications of Wall Street investors – Private Equity – in the healthcare industry. The presenters (Rosemary Batt, Robert McNamara, and Richard Mollot) discuss decades of research that has demonstrated how Wall Street and corporate ownership of healthcare has led to worse healthcare outcomes, more inequitable access for patients, and harm to physicians and other healthcare workers.

Presenters:
Rosemary Batt, Ph.D. (Cornell University School of Industrial and Labor Relations)

Robert McNamara, M.D., MAAEM (TakeMedicineBack; Temple University Hospital)

Richard Mollot, J.D. (Long Term Care Community Coalition)
