This program provides a live demonstration of LTCCC’s data visualization platform, highlighting how it can be used to examine key indicators in Hudson Valley nursing homes, compare local facility performance with state and national benchmarks, and identify trends that can inform advocacy, oversight, and quality improvement efforts. The program also offers practical guidance on residents’ rights related to dignity and quality of life, including the right to receive individualized care and services that support the highest practicable physical, mental, and psychosocial well-being. The session reviews federal quality-of-life standards, activities of daily living requirements, and residents’ rights protections, while highlighting LTCCC’s fact sheets, educational materials, and additional resources to support families, advocates, ombudsmen, and other stakeholders in promoting dignity, choice, and person-centered care in nursing homes.
