Dear Friends:

As we reflect on the challenges of the past year, one group has borne an extraordinary burden: the residents of nursing homes and assisted living facilities. The COVID-19 pandemic and its aftermath have not only intensified preexisting issues within LTC facilities but have also exposed vulnerable individuals to unprecedented levels of suffering and, tragically, loss of life.

The past generosity of our supporters has been instrumental in helping LTCCC provide essential support to residents and their families during these trying times. Together, we have tirelessly advocated for improved care, enhanced safety measures, and the preservation of humane treatment. Collaborating with families and ombudsmen, we have empowered advocates to fight for the well-being of their loved ones within these facilities. Furthermore, our advocacy efforts on both state and national levels have focused on vital issues such as enhanced staffing, family visitation rights, and strengthened infection control protocols.

Today, we reach out to you with an urgent plea for your support. Your contribution will enable us to maintain our unwavering commitment to being a strong voice for quality care and a life with dignity in the upcoming year.

While LTCCC is a small organization, our supporters have demonstrated that, together, we can make a substantial impact on the lives of residents and families. The people in these settings are often exceptionally vulnerable, lacking the ability to voice their concerns or walk away from inadequate care. Frail elderly individuals face challenges in expressing their needs, and those with dementia may struggle to communicate when frightened, hungry, or uncomfortable.

Our dedication to providing a robust advocacy platform for residents and their families remains steadfast. We invite you to join us in championing this cause and supporting our mission to ensure quality care for those who depend on nursing homes and assisted living facilities.

Your consideration and support are invaluable in our collective pursuit of a better and more compassionate future for long-term care residents. On behalf of LTCCC and those we serve, we express our sincere gratitude for your continued commitment to this crucial mission.

Thank you for your consideration.

Warm regards,

Richard J. Mollot
Executive Director
