On June 23, 2025 the Long Term Care Community Coalition joined nearly 100 national, state, and local organizations in opposing a proposed Senate reconciliation bill that would cut Medicaid funding and delay implementation of the federal nursing home minimum staffing rule. These changes would jeopardize access to long-term care services for millions of older adults and people with disabilities, increase institutionalization, and lead to poorer health outcomes.
