As family members\, ageism – prejudice or discrimination on the grounds of a person’s age – can be a barrier for advocating for your loved ones. On the next LTCCC NY Family Empower Half Hour (Thursday\, April 27 at 12pm ET)\, we’ll talk about how to identify and navigate ageism as family members and advocates for residents in nursing homes and other long-term care settings. \nLTCCC’s Family Empowerment Team (Jenine Ferrari & Gloria Murray) will be joined by Bette Ann Moskowitz (author of Finishing Up: On Aging and Ageism) to lead a discussion on ageism and to answer your questions. \nWe encourage family members and advocates from New York and across the US to join us and participate!
